Bio/ Contact
I moved to London in 1993 where I studied photography at the London College of Printing.
In 1996 I began working for the NME (New Musical Express) and for the next six years travelled the world, shooting everyone from Metallica,Neil Young, Rolling Stones,U2, Eminem to Pink.
Experience that led to work from all major & independent labels, artists management’s and a host of other magazines and papers in the UK, Italy and the rest of Europe ( Times, Rolling Stone,Guardian,Observer…).
In 2004 I toured with Negrita in their South American & European tour, photographing and filming their concerts and documenting the recording of their latest album.A dvd and a photographic book from this tour were released in 2005.
Won the price for best Italian videoclip in 2005 with “Rotolando verso sud” by Negrita.
In the same year I was asked to cover one of the major events in Europe when Ligabue played in front of 180 000 people breaking the record previously owed by U2 as the biggest crowd gathered by a single artist.
A photographic book was released and registered record sales.
In the last few years work within the record business has intensified to the point that I am now involved with most of the album covers released in Italy.
I become the personal photographer for Negrita,Ligabue and Francesco Renga.
I kept getting assignements by international labels which gave me the chance to work with artists such as Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg to name a few.
Through the collaboration with my agency Contrasto my magazine work has also intensified with tight relationships with Vanity Fair, Max, Sport Week etc.
This led me to photograph outside of the music business and into fashion and advertisement, with clients such as Fiat, Activia/Danone, Nike and Talco.
In 2010 a became testimonial for Leica.
With Leica I reached what I was looking for, revolutionising my approach to photography, improving the quality of the photos and gaining more access with the artists involved.
